Your renters can extend their trip by accessing their booking through the booking confirmation email they received after making a payment on your website.

Steps to Extend a Trip

  1. Open the booking confirmation email.
  2. Click View Booking Details — this takes them to their booking page.
  3. Click Edit Booking.
  4. Complete all 4 steps:
    1. Select pickup location, dates, and time
    2. Choose vehicle
    3. Select insurance and extras
    4. Add secondary driver (if needed)
  5. Click Update / Submit.

What Happens Next?

  • A trip modification approval request is sent to you (admin).
  • You can accept or reject the request.
  • If accepted, a Stripe payment link is automatically sent to the renter for any additional cost.

⚠️ Important Notes

Insurance does not extend automatically.

For Bonzah, renters can either:

  • Create a new booking, or
  • You (admin) can purchase insurance directly from the Bonzah dashboard.

For RentalCover, insurance also does not extend automatically. Renters must:

  1. Go to RentalCover.com
  2. Purchase insurance
  3. Upload proof under Pre-Trip Photos in their booking

Once the renter completes booking and payment, they are automatically directed to a page where they can verify both ID and insurance.

ID Verification

Done through a third-party identity verification system, Vouched Identity.

  1. Click Create Verification Link.
  2. Either:
    • Copy the link, or
    • Open it directly
  3. Complete the verification process.

Insurance Verification

Done via Canopy Connect (third-party integration).

  1. Click Create Verification Link.
  2. Copy or open the link.
  3. Complete the verification.

⚠️ Important Note

  • Canopy Connect only verifies whether insurance is valid or not.
  • It does not provide full policy details.

Where Can You View Insurance and ID Verification Details in 1Now?

Option 1

  1. Go to Customers → View Customer Details.
  2. View:
    • ID verification
    • Insurance verification:
      • Active policies
      • Uploaded documents

Option 2

  1. Go to Bookings → View Booking → Select Booking.
  2. Scroll to Primary Driver Details.
  3. Click Insurance Verification Details / ID Verification Details.

You can use:

  • Bonzah (integrated)
  • RentalCover (manual)
  • Any other insurance provider

Bonzah (Integrated Option)

Setup

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Damage & Liability Insurance → Request Access.
  2. Fill and submit the form.
  3. Receive login credentials via email.
  4. Connect Bonzah with 1Now.

After setup: renters can purchase insurance directly during booking.

Coverage

  • Covers up to $35,000.
  • Applies when:
    • Vehicle is OnTrip
    • Collision involves another vehicle

IMPORTANT: Bonzah is only activated if the renter’s ID is verified.

RentalCover (Manual Option)

Setup

  1. Go to Settings → General → Insurance Options.
  2. Add RentalCover.

How It Works

Appears as an option on your website. Renters must:

  1. Go to https://rentalcover.com/
  2. Purchase insurance.
  3. Open the booking confirmation email they received after making a payment for the booking on your website.
  4. Click View Booking Details.
  5. Upload proof under Pre-Trip Photos.

You can also add any other insurance provider manually in the same way.

Booking Steps

  1. Visit your website.
  2. Select:
    • Pickup location
    • Dates & time
  3. Choose a vehicle.
  4. Enter details:
    • Name
    • Contact number
    • Email
  5. Select:
    • Insurance
    • Extras
  6. Click Pay & Book.
  7. Agree to:
    • Rental Agreement
    • Terms & Conditions
    • Privacy Policy
    • Cancellation Policy
  8. Complete payment.
  9. Verify:
    • ID
    • Insurance

Steps

  1. Go to Dashboard → Bookings → View Bookings.
  2. Select a booking.
  3. You can view:
    • Booking status
    • ID & insurance verification
    • Invoice
    • Payment amount
    • Security deposit and more

To Edit a Booking

  1. Click the top-right three dots → Edit Booking.
  2. You can:
    • Extend trip
    • Change details
    • Swap vehicle

How It Works

  • If paid via website: automatically refunded after 7 days (Stripe policy).
  • If you want to keep it:
    1. Go to Booking → Payment section.
    2. Click Capture next to Security Deposit.
    3. Enter the amount to keep.
  • After capturing, you can refund the remaining amount.

Why Does It Show “Cancelled”?

  • More than 7 days passed.
  • Stripe automatically released the hold.
  • So the deposit appears cancelled.
  1. Go to Bookings → Open Booking → Primary Driver Details.
  2. Click ID Verification or Insurance Verification.
  3. Click Create Verification Link and send it to your renter via email or SMS.

Not exactly:

  • Turo bookings → will block dates on 1Now ✅
  • 1Now website bookings → will NOT block dates on Turo ❌
This is usually because your vehicle is missing its Turo ID. Just share your Turo profile link with support, and they’ll add it for you. Once added, your calendar will sync properly.
